Food preservation boxes used for daily storage come in various sizes and materials, with plastic and glass being the most common. Plastic fresh-keeping boxes are lightweight, easy to carry, and not afraid of falling. However, over time, stubborn stains may appear that are difficult to remove, making the fresh-keeping box look a bit dirty. Today, the editor of Life Tips Network will share 6 tips to clean the stains on freshness boxes or other plastic products thoroughly and extend their lifespan!
Tip 1: Clean with salt
Wet the towel slightly with warm water, pour a small amount of salt onto a small area of the towel, then hold the towel with your hand and wipe the salt on the stains of the plastic preservation box until all the stains are wiped off. After that, clean and dry the preservation box, and salt also has a sterilizing effect!
Tip 2: Clean with baking soda powder
Whether it's food stains, water stains, or even more difficult to remove oily stains, baking soda can be used to solve them! Just mix baking soda water with an appropriate amount of water, make it into a paste and apply it to the stained area inside the fresh-keeping box. Wait for about 20-30 minutes, then use a damp cloth to wipe off all the paste baking soda powder inside the fresh-keeping box. Rinse the box clean with water, and then wash it with dishwashing detergent once.
Tip 3: Clean with white vinegar
The commonly used white vinegar at home can also be used to clean various food stains or water stains on the freshness box, and it also has a sterilizing effect. Mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with 1 cup of water, soak the container or other plastic products you want to clean in this white vinegar water, wait for 1-2 hours, and then check if the stains have disappeared. If not, soak for a while. If they have disappeared, rinse the container with clean water first, and then wash it with dishwashing detergent once.
Tip 4: Clean with Lemon Juice
Lemon juice, which has a strong sour taste like white vinegar, is also a good helper for cleaning stubborn stains inside plastic preservation boxes. Just cut the lemon in half, apply the cut surface to the stained area of the preservation box, and then place the preservation box in the sun for 1-2 days. Let the lemon juice applied to the preservation box come into contact with ultraviolet rays in the sun, and it can remove stains inside the preservation box and has a sterilizing effect!
Tip 5: Clean with alcohol
Alcohol is very suitable for cleaning plastic containers stained with coffee, tea, tomato sauce, juice, and other foods. Just wipe the alcohol on the stained area of the container until it is clean, rinse the container with clean water, and then rinse it again with dishwashing detergent. If the stains are still not completely washed off after wiping with alcohol for a while, you can pour the alcohol directly into the fresh-keeping box, wait for about 5 minutes, and repeat the cleaning steps again.
Tip 6: Clean with denture cleaning tablets
In addition to cleaning the stained parts of dentures, denture cleaning tablets can also clean the stained parts of plastic containers or other plastic products. Simply dissolve two denture cleaning tablets in hot water (or use according to the instructions), then pour hot water into the container to cover the stains. After the stains disappear, clean the container with water and dishwashing detergent, and let it dry naturally!
